April 2002 2002-04-27 - Teachers Leaving Class Where At home (aka the academy). Just woke up a bit ago. Power went out for a min or so last night 'cause my alarm clock was reset. Just the other day Al questioned the need for a UPS in AZ! What Oh boy, lots of stuff. Do you know how at the end of the semester your teachers get more and more and more annoying? Well, at least some of them do. If you don't, just take my word for it. They're late to class, they leave class in the middle of a group presentation, they whine about how much grading they have to do, they skip class to go to a 'convention' so that you have a substitute who is a moron so you just sleep thru class instead of going, 'cause the real prof will cover it all again anyway. (Ok ok, run-on sentence, but I made my point). 30 min. later OK, still on the what. So most all my job opportunities here in Phoenix have fallen thru :(. I talked with my old boss at Sprint, and it sounds like there'll be work for me there this summer, so I called up the HR rep for internships and left a message, but I didn't hear back. I'l have to persue that more on Monday. So that means I need to decide what to do about working next school year, as in do I want to try to find a TA/RA job so that I get out of state tuition waved or not. Need to figure that out soon so I can make commitments to do stuff for next year, like leading a small group, or helping with CALM, etc... Had some good movie nights past two nights, watched Mystery Men and Spaceballs. I think that'll be my fill for silly movies for a while (: Tomorrow I get to speak at church about my trip to Mexico, they're going to take a door offering to help pay the way. The CA Spring Fling is tonight, its the last CA event which I will have any 'leadership' responsibility for this year, and minimal at that, I basically told beth to run with this one. I've learned a whole lot this past year with my involvement with servant & leadership team. Update: 10:30 p.m. - a pet peeve: people who love to pat themselves on their back When Ok, this post ranged from 10:30 am until...well, dunno, I haven't finished it yet, but its 11:30 right now. Ok, done, its 12:00. Time for lunch. 2002-04-23 - Video Editing is Fun! Where Sitting at home, waiting on my computers to finish their video editing. What Oops, answerd that in the where... waiting for my computers to do this video editing. Guess I need a faster computer :). So yesterday was business plan presentation, but the listeners for the presentation were 20 minutes late, so class ran late, stayed after to talk with the 'listeners' and that made me late to bible study, but eh, was a great bible study (at least I think so) so that made up for it all :). Had a good chat with some people I hadn't really talked much with for a bit too. When It's 10:50 pm. I feel like I should be studying for the evil test thursday, but oh well. 2002-04-20 - Cribbage Where Sitting at home, waiting for something to do. What Good day! Washed car, changed oil. Oh, slept in a bunch too. Also got my 2nd to last physics assignment done. Had a good dinner, I made bbq chicken (mmmm!) corn, hot dogs that had been in the freezer long long time, and tatter tots...good food, good food. I also added about 11 email forwards. When It's 8:31 pm. Its staurday. I should be doing something. Ah, I might be in luck, Christin's trying to put together a game of cribbage. 2002-04-17 - First Entry ARG! Had this all typed up and then I lost it, so here goes 2nd time around... First, this is very unautomated, which I'd liek to change, but then I wouldn't get to keep up on typing my html tags! Where I'm still in Tempe/Mesa, depending on the time of day. However since nobody seems to want to give me a job out here (or even interview me) I'll most likely be back in KC this summer. Right now I'm sitting in the Union by the fireplace - thanks to the wonders of wireless networks! What I'm still in school. Lots of things are ending, like last CAST meeting was last night, and physics lab was monday. But other things are going full steam ahead straight for the brick wall that is May 8th. When It's just after lunch, 12:22 pm. Although time is fairly irrelevant, and if you find it interesting I want to know whats wrong with you.
