We hiked the West Fork Trail, which goes through Oak Creek Canyon a tad north of Sedona. |
This is near the start of the trail. And people think Arizona doesn't have any natural green. |
The contrails is a reminder that civilization isn't too far away... unfortunately I don't think the bird's eye view from 10,000 feet does this scenery justice. |
This little "hole in the wall" is in the middle of this apple orchard, right at the start of the trail. Yes folks, there was an apple orchard in Arizona... you can get back up off the floor now. |
I thought it was really cool how the water eroded this rock. |
Same sorta thing here... there was a nice clearing that was well shaded by the SPF 100000 red rocks. |
Taking a little break. |
Somebody should inform these trees that plants are supposed to grow from dirt, not rocks. |
The pine forrest. |
Me posing for a picture... One of several attempts for a new front-page image. This one didn't win. |
Carefully making our way down, the trail likes to cross the creek. |
This pine tree is persistent, it needs sun so it keeps growing taller to find it. |
Two words: Bea - utiful. |
Again, these trees didn't get the memo... dirt, not rocks. |
You can see the reflection off the rippling water on the rocks. |
And lastly, my favorite picture of the bunch. This picture has it all... Clouds, blues skys, lots of green, variety of trees, red rocks, and white rocks. |
