After the war... I think I'm more amazed at how much restoration was required and how authentic it looks than anything else. |
Muenchen as it was back in 'the day'... for the blind to be able to "see" the city. |
Notice how different the stained glass is from one window to the next. |
The church basement. Several coffins of the famous priests who served here. |
This is what I want for my house... the shades of blue. |
Going up the tower... quite a ways in from the edge. Thats explains why the stairs were so twisty! |
From the top of the tower - need to look to see what is in this picture. |
The other tower. One tower is taller than the other, to signify God's power vs. Man's Power. |
A view back towards olympic park. |
The shell thingy at the Residence - I should get more detail on this, it really was quite amazing. A Photo can't accuratly capture this work of art. |
Blue and white porcelein. Not as impressive as the collection of silver... silver plates to feed an army. A big army no less. But, the porcelien is much prettier. |
They don't make ceilings like they used to, that's for sure. |
On our way to the english gardens... we stopped to rest for a bit. I particularly like the trees, and the green... mmm, green. Good stuff. |
no, we weren't mad at each other.. just looking off our own way, soaking in the gardens. |
The lake at the English Gardens. We sat and watched the birds play in the water, and the ducks and geese with their young swimming around here and there. It was quite fascinating... and a great opportunity for the feet to rest. |
Outside of the residence, this we determined must be a theater. |
The river Isar. When the trees get thirsty they just bend over for a drink. |
Along the river walk. |

Yes, a real working barometer and thermometer. It was pretty warm, as you can see. Its clear it doesn't get nearly as hot here as in Phoenix, no 40's on the temperature gauge. |
