The inside of the Duomo (Santa Maria del Fiore). The dome was built by Filippo Brunelleschi (who is burried in the crypt at this church), and painted by various folks, mostly Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari, known as "the last judgement". |

All of the arches are pointy, a big of gothic influence as they are pointing upwards towards the heavens, as if reaching out to God. |

A replica outside of Palazzo Vecchio. I haven't yet been able to remember what this is thou... it will come to me sooner or later - but I'm almost positive the original was by Michelangelo (based on the women's muscularness). |
