St. Louis Trip

I decided that it was time to get out of Kansas for a little bit, so I called up Addie in St. Louis and arranged for a weekend visit. I got to see her new house there, and we had a few adventures around town.

We went to Gus' Pretzels, where they make and sell pretzel related items, such as, well, pretzels! We each bought one to verify their tastiness. They passed.

It takes a lot of dough to make a lot of pretzels.

This young man twists all the pretzels so they come out just right. He was even kind enough to let me take his picture.

Here we are at the St. Louis Science Museum, it was great fun, we got to clock the cars going over the highway, and watch a scientist do some chemistry experiments, watch a laser light show, and of course there were a few dinosaures around here and there too.

T-Rex? No match for me!

Here we are sitting around deciding what to do next. Of course! We should take pictures of Addie's house for people to see!

Here's what you see when you walk in the front door. Well, basically what you see when you walk in the front door, that picture didn't turn out quite as well as this one which is from the other corner of the front room. You get the idea.

The front door.

The kitchen. The other side has a really long countertop, the whole length of the room... nice and long for barstools or lots of room for cooking. I'm standing in the eating area, which has a view out to the back yard and neighbor's house. Unfortunatly I couldn't get a good picture of that area.

Here's the master bedroom, with a half bath and glass front closet.

Bathroom, yup, I think we all know what this is used for.

The guest room with my stuff in the picture (oops, forgot to move it). Here you can see the really cool vents in the floor, one of the few signs on the inside of the house that it wasn't built yesterday.

Basements are so cool. Nice, big, open, what more could you want a subterrain environment?

The other corner of the basement, with craft supplies and room for more guests to sleep if needed. And that's the last picture, so I had to be sure there was a dino in it, it just wouldn't be right otherwise.
