Photos: Drive from Kansas City to Phoenix

It seems odd when you get to the point that you can make a 1200 mile car trip without any maps. It's not like I just got on one road the whole way. If I were to count the number of highways I use for the trip, it would be a nice even 10, not counting those used within the starting and finishing cities. Anywho, enough about that... I always love the drive. I'm weird, I like day-long car trips. Nobody to bother you, all of the crud that goes on ever day is put completely asside. Just you, your car, the road and your music.

Blue skies, trees, sun. his was definitly a Kansas shot, becuase after I leave Kansas I don't see tree's per say until Arizona.

The open road. This is what it looks like. Me, and flatness. Occasionally a passing car and elevators.

Elevators. For those of you from a non-ag parts of the country, those big white things are elevators. There's always train tracks right next door, and hopefully a few people around to run the elevators.

Just in case you were wondering, the other side of the road is flat too.

This tree reminded me of something Jenny painted. Now that I see the picture, it doesn't look so similar. Part of it could be caused by the fact that I saw the tree at the other angle, but more likely just the fact that I was driving by at 75-80 mph or so.

I was tired of taking pictures, I've now crossed two other states and am in New Mexico. The sun's thankfully hiding behind the clouds, which makes it much easier to drive when you're heading west. I was very thankful for that. It also takes interesting pictures, most of which didn't turn out unfortunatly.

Parts of the sky opened back up towards the north, which looked very interesting. I attempted to take a few shots out the sunroof at it, which is difficult when you're speeding down the road at 80 mph so you can't stop so much to make sure the cool stuff is in view.
