2003.01.30 @ 00:56:18 New Journaling System, Happy Job

Horray! A happy day has come. I have replaced my old system for adding entries to my current events with what you're seeing now. I moved over entries from this month, but all of 2002 will stay on the old pages (right now there's some duplicates, but I'll get rid of that soon enough).

If you're thinking to yourself, "my, this looks like tim's journal", that's because I took all his code and tweaked it for my needs. I did help Tim get it all working the first time around, and I'm implementing a few things that'll be nice for him to use too. It's so nice living with someone else who enjoys doing stuff like this too. More style changes probabily will be coming in the future, but for now this'll work. You'll also notice no that I changed the backgrounds on my entire website, if you're still seeing green then clear your browser cache and it'll come in properly. That too will probably be changing, and I'll be applying CSS to my site so it's easier to do style updates in the future.

On a side-note, for those of you really picky people you'll notice that this page is under /journal and journal.jsp etc... but I still maintain this to be current events and not journal, but journal just seems to work better for naming stuff.

I'm listening to my neighbor tell somebody on the phone that they're stressed out. They were out earlier talking loudly too. The joys of living in close proximity to total strangers.

Besides that, in my life I'm happy with my work. I had a really good meeting with my boss today, he wanted me to TA for him as well and I was weary that it'd be too many hours. Today he told me that the department didn't want me to do both jobs, they'd rather have 2 employees. Go figure. But now I don't have to worry about it at all. Also, I'm finally understanding how the project I've been working on for 5 months now is going to all fit together, which makes me happy and gives me more motivation.
