2003.08.03 @ 22:03:49 Roosevelt Lake

The work week ended, and it was time to go have some fun. Al, my brother, Ben from Boeing and I headed up to Roosevelt Lake after work on Friday. After loading up food and camping gear in the Jeep and hitching up the Boat we headed out. On the way there we had to stop to let the brakes cool off, kinda a windy mountaineous road and the rear breaks weren't adjusted quite right. We setup camp, had some sandwiches and chatted until bedtime. We woke up to the sun, and after tearing down camp and breakfast we ventured onto the water. We were surprised at the number of people there camping and boating... moreso, the lack of other people around. We had very very few other boats to worry about, and the water was perfect - both in temperature and lack of waves. Except for Ben we all skied, and all but Al tubed some too. Two times I skied until I just couldn't hold onto the rope (mostly on account of my back being sore, legs and arms were also getting pretty tired). Like last week, I have some pictures (sadly none of me), and perhaps I'll post some from last week and this week sometime soon.

Went and visited a church today, its only a few miles away instead of 15. The senior pastor wasn't there, so I'll have to go back and hear him preach sometime. Didn't really do much else today. Beth's battery died... but it didn't really, I went and helped her get it going again... just needed the terminals cleaned. That was my fun and excitement for today.
