Given the new job, everybody's first question is "what do you do?" The simple answer to that is software testing for the Apache Longbow AH64-D. Right now I'm doing all sorts of fun online training courses. One of the links in the training courses was to a writeup on HowStuffWorks. They have all sorts of info on the Apache and its awesomeness. So, if you're interested in the Apache go read about it Here. Take special note of the Controls and Sensors page, about a third of the way down the page there's a picture of the cockpit with two digital displays lined with buttons on all sides. In particular, I test the code for the displays for the pilot and co-pilot gunner. The picture is of the pilot's station, the CPG has the same two displays but they're seperate by other controls/displays for the weapons systems in between.
Now you know more than you probably ever wanted to about my job and the Apache.
