As luck would have it, I got a notice in the mail today from the MVD. I've been getting far too many of these lately. It seems that they couldn't match me up with my SSN for my drivers license. After trying to figure out why, I notice they missed the 'n' in my last name when they were typing it from my KS license. I missed it too, after they processed the license and I 'checked' to make sure it was all good. Arg. Too many characters, and the n is the same height as the preceeding character so it fooled my eye. Anyway, surprising to me they didn't find out that minor mistake - I would figure upon looking up my social they could've noticed the mistake, but I guess they just let the automated system spit out a mailing. Oh well, maybe I should try to make friends with the receptionist at the MVD, given my frequent visits as of late - maybe she can give me a priority number :).
