2003.12.20 @ 11:44:22 I brought the heat with me

At least, it sure seems that way. I'm back in KS now. Got in about 2 hours ago, had some breakfast, unloaded car, showered (never ever ever does a shower feel better than after sitting in a car for 17.5 hours). No events on the trip, no tickets, made good time, etc. My "service engine soon" light did come on, I assume its one of those timed lights or something. I should look that up and have it taken care of soonish. My brother and I left after half day of work, although we didn't get out of Phoenix until about 2pm yesterday (I had to backtrack and pick him up from his work first). Having been awake for so long befor eleaving, sleeping in the car (while not driving) was a must. I think I got more sleep on this trip than any other time, although didn't really sleep for any period of time until 6:30 AM when after driving for 5 hours during I guess what would be the "graveyard" shift of the trip. I had slept a bit before that, and a little code red helped me through. I'm rambling now.

There was patches of snow here and there along the way. However, the high in KC today is 54 degrees, so I expect whatever is left here to be gone very soon. It was similarly unusually warm in Phx, 78 degrees when we left.
