2003.02.08 @ 19:20:31 Worn Out

Yesterday was much fun. Instead of doing any work like I should have, I bummed around all morning. In the afternoon I went with Jenny to get her car. I still can't believe the dealership scrapped all the goop off the window left by the duct-tape, which didn't end up holding the window anyway. Alas. We hung out afterwards and had dinner, went and bugged Ryan for a little bit, and then headed off to our respective small group activities. Matt's small group was hanging out at his place, talks of basketball but nobody wanted to get tired out. Instead we played some serious Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Brothers, and Merry Widow (a card game). Tim taught Dan & I the game, which is very simple and almost entirely based upon luck as there are many rules as to how you must play your cards. I was the lucky one for the evening and won both games. Afterwards we headed off to broomball. As always, it was much fun. We had enough people that we played with two balls at once! Also, the number of people allowed for me to not get nearly as winded as last time. Unfortunatly, one of the other guys got the wind seriously knocked out of him. It was shortly after 2 a.m. by the time I got home and got myself into bed.

Today hasn't been so fun, but necessary. I woke up, did my mourning routine and the headed straight to campus for my team meeting. Four hours later I was on my way out. We did get a lot accomplished, so that's good. On my way out there was a steady flow of parents with very young children (i.e. kindergarten age or so) all flowing from PS1 towards Gammage. Makes me wonder what was going on. When I got home, I started working on the piece that I needed to finish, and somehow collapsed up on my bed and fell asleep for an hour. I re-awakened, and after some self-motivational battles I sat down and hammered the rest of it out.

Right now, Tim's making some yummy dinner, fresh bread & soup. Hopefully my late lunch, which was caused by my long meeting, will wear off in time.
