Another trip is over, and as such I feel obligated to give a recap of the events. As always, I think "I don't have a whole lot to write about" but it always turns into a long post. So, here goes.
Friday: Went running with my bro in the morning, then once the grass dried mowed the whole yard without using the self-propelled for a better workout. First the mower blade had to be sharpened, it was dull as a, well, lets just say there was no risk of cutting myself getting it off the mower. Trimmed, edged, and cleaned everything up. It was nice for a change, I miss it. Did some online shopping, and phone conversations with realtor on a house in phoenix which sold the next day for more than I was willing to pay, so I didn't feel to bad. Michael & Mark came over for dinner, and we watched some movies and such.
Saturday: Woke up, repacked my bag, and left for Coffeyville KS. Arrived a bit later (kinda like on the food channel when they put it in one oven and take it out of the other). Lunched, checked into hotel, changed, went to the church for the wedding. I had the pleasure of video taping the ceremony which was nice. The church was full, and full catholic mass. Followed by reception, more video taping, good food, DJ needed to learn what songs to play when, but other than that it was good times.
Sunday: Went to the Lutheran church in Coffeyville, and got a very nice small town lay-down-the-law sermon. Then went to Aunt & Uncle's place for a get together, swapped our digital photos, watched some wedding gifts being opened, and general socializing. Left for KC mid afternoon. Arrived back, relaxed for a bit, then went to dinner at Zarda BBQ. Mmmm, good food. Saw some folks from church there too. Picked up an extra slab of ribs to bring to AZ, because nowhere here has decent bbq.
Monday: Woke up at 10 to 7, got ready to fly back to phx. Drove to airport, go through security (with foil-wrapped ribs, apparently not an issue). Onto plane, and back to PHX in good time. Came home to get the ribs in the freezer, then took a nap and had lunch before going to work.Thats about all. Sorry for the rather boring post.
