First, an update on the finger... the blood has spread even more, however the feelings of pain have been gone for a day or two, so I'm back to using it. Secondly, I've wrapped up the 3rd harry potter book this afternoon. I came home from work early for the tv repair guy, who figured out that there's a focus adjustment that must've gotten thrown out of whack in shipment. So the TV is back in good operating order, just need to plug everything back in. Anyway, I decided not to go back to work for another 2 or so hours and just stay home and read and mow the lawn and such, which was quite enjoyable for a change. Of course that means 9 hour days all next week, or perhaps a few hours this weekend.
I made cherry & blueberry turnovers last night. We had filo dough that Tim was going to use when he was here but didn't have time, so I followed the recipe on the box (which wasn't very good as far as telling you all the steps) - but using about twice as much butter as they called for (i guess my brush is just thick), they turned out pretty good. I succeeded in burning my tongue on one last night, not realizing how long it takes the filling to cool down. But that didn't bother me too much, as it has been a while since I've tried to cook something "new" and it turned out good.
Those of you waiting for pictures from the latest wedding (ok, of those ppl i know who read this, i can't think of anyone who would be *that* interested) - you'll have to wait 'cause I don't have all of the pictures from the other digital cameras, and I was shooting video for a good portion so I didn't get very many good still shots. I'm working on a method to get them off my mom's computer, or just wait until late august when (i think) the parents will be here again.
