I ordered some lights from overstock.com on 8/24/2005. I checked up on them shortly after, and then sorta forgot about them. With company here, and labor day, it really slipped my mind a number of times. I finally checked again tonight, and the order still shows "in process" - and not "shipped". So, I went searching the website for a way to get in touch with them to get the status. I finally, on their help pages, found a phone number to call. I called, waited no more than 5 minutes and spoke to a real live human, whose initial response was "oh, those should have shipped, they say they're in stock." He then politely asked if I could be put on hold while he figures out why they haven't shipped. Nice guy. When he returns, he explains he doesn't know why they haven't shipped, or at least haven't sent me the tracking information, but he has sent a note to the warehouse to contact me with the shipping info, or expedite the shipment if they haven't started it yet. My response was something like "okay, that sounds good. Thanks". I think that took him by surprise, as there was a moment of silence. He then followed with the normal "anything else I can do, thanks for your order... have a good evening" typical hangup stuff. I think he was a little surprised that I didn't get upset, or hound him on why they haven't shipped, or how come he doesn't know why I don't have them yet, etc. So he wasn't sure what to think when I just said "ok".
