2005.10.18 @ 03:03:39 Time to Reflect

I was thinking the other day about my life, and all the various activities I'm involved with. I realized that one of the things I haven't been doing as much as I'd like to is spending time reflecting on whats been going on. I've found that I've been a little more scattered in thought, and perhaps this is why. So I want to make it a goal to take time to simplify and to reflect.

An update on my pool, the patch job I did Saturday seems to have worked. The true test will be when I get the next water bill!

Its a little bit stormy here tonight. Had a couple good rains already today. At work we played the "everybody go to the window" game while it was blowing dust followed by horizontal rain. Fun stuff! Then shortly after I got home, another downpour... just plain hard rain. Overflowing gutters, the whole bit. Its starting to lightning and thunder again, maybe another round is coming. I'm not sure why, but it reminds me of a time when I was younger and it there was a thunderstorm. Not an uncommon occurance in Kansas at all. But, for some reason the storm was keeping me from sleeping that night, so I went into my brother's room, and slept on the floor in there. I don't even think we exchanged any more words than "can I sleep in here on the floor" and "umm, ok". Of course, that was probably because Ryan was already asleep and in no mood to argue. I think so often we forget why God gave us family - to be there for each other when there's a storm. Sometimes we don't understand each other, or even disagree, but we can always be there for each other.
