2003.03.01 @ 05:25:01 Worship & Party!

Wow, what a night. Started with Dinner @ Arby's with my roomies & Dan. Good times, good dicussion as usual, and good food cheap :). Gotta love those arby's coupons. Then Dan & I headed to campus, Murdock Hall for a campus-wide worship gathering. We met up with other friends. I'd have to say that a few years ago I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much as I did tonight. The worship band was very good, we did a lot of singing. The songs were right in the range such that I could sing in my choice of two octaves, which is good and bad, I prefer to sing low but I haven't done that much lately and my voice couldn't hand it all the time. A few of the songs were the kind that called for nearly-screaming singing, which I haven't so much attempted before, and found it to be great. Screaming worship to God, who'd have thought? Their speaker box for the bass was very, well, nice. It delivered lots of good nice clean lows. Now I'm not saying that you need to have a great band to praise God, but for me it helps if the music doesn't get in the way.

After that, we had a very large gathering of folks at our place for Krissy's Birthday. I made the offer to host earlier this week, knowing I'd have plenty of time to clean things up, and that we had as much room as most anybody else living in the vicinity of campus, except Mike's house, but he does things there all the time, he hosted her birthday last year, and us crazies like to stay up rather late sometimes. It was very enjoyable, just hanging out, having cake & ice cream and chatting with folks the whole night. Keith & Tim did some action on the piano, which is always very nice. I love piano music, just simple stuff, doesn't need to be complex. I need to keep myself practicing.

I ought to go to bed. I only have one chapter in my book left, I might finish it up first, or fall asleep trying.
