The good news: The bathtub is in! Yup, the plumbers I hired came out Friday and put it in (I took the day off work). We had a good time, talking about various things while they worked, and I learned a little about plumbing in the process. All in all, a pretty good deal. The best part, is the 316 pound bathtub will never need to be moved again, so long as I live here.
The bad news: I haven't purchased new lights yet. I have some picked out, and I'm 99% sure they're going to be the ones. The problem is whatever I find needs to work with the medicine cabinets. I really would prefer to have the lights over top of the cabinets shining down. This will make a nice reflection of light off the glass-door cabinets to provide illumination where it's needed most. However, nobody seems to make lights for such a purpose. So, my new plan is to fix to modify the wall so that it "juts" out a few inches above the cabinets, and attach the lights on this jut, thus providing the necessary extension to reach past the medicine cabinet. There's some controversy currently as to how to do this wall jut. Does it go all the way to the ceiling? Does it extend all the way to both side walls? It's up in the air at this point. I need to do a few more measurements, then dry to make a scale drawing, hopefully get some visualization from that. I'm horrible at making decisions like this... and I really don't want it to look stupid when I'm done.
Oh, and my new battery arrived... so my phone is in business again.
