Heylo, I'm writing this entry from my old bedroom in Kansas, where I spent much time from 4th-12th grade. Ah, the memories.

I flew in last night late. Sadly, I arrived just after the thunderstorms had passed through... or, maybe thats a good thing. I was watching the radar in the airport before leaving and the line of storms was right over KC when we took off. And when I say line, I mean solid red line. Big giant lots of rain really hard storms. As we got close to KC, I noticed out my window a flash of light, what looked like a light atop a radio tower. It went off, then back on... then off, then on, then off, then it didn't come back on. But there was a light somewhere near to where the first radio tower was. Then another one a short distance away from that. It took me that long to figure out I was watching lightning from fairly high elevation. The thing was it was perfectly clear skies around where we were flying, but far off in the distance it was storming something big. But wow, as we got a little closer to the storms (we never got very close), but the lightning was amazing looking from that perspective. Peaceful even. I wonder if that's how God see's the lightning? from above, a ways away?
