Question: Does being old make you wise, or does being wisdom allow you to become old?

The topic of Wisdom seemed to come up several times today. The YG devotions sunday mornings are covering the book of Proverbs, so naturally the topic of wisdom comes up there, and then again during the sermon today it peeked out, and during the young adult/college bible study too (which, I must say, I'm really glad I'm not leading the bible study part of that anymore... Nancy is doing such a fabulous job!). The above question I raised to the YG crowd, nobody had an answer. So I looked up the definition, and I must say that based on the definition, I would have to go with the being old makes (or really allows) you to be wise: (this is my favorite definition) - the trait of utilizing knowledge and experience with common sense and insight.

Anyway, I haven't updated in a while, so I thought I'd ramble about some going on's of late. First, the green bell pepper plant, not doing so hot... probably because its so freakin hot. It really started to grow when we had the cool spell, and then we were in the 90's again and it's been droppin. Oh well. Went out to eat this past week with my new friend Kyla from Mark's wedding, who also lives in Phoenix - mmmmmm... pizza. Tim's folks are in town for a conference up in Scottsdale, actually since last Tuesday - been nice to see them again, especially since the last time I saw them it was for such an incredibly brief period of time. Been catching up on yard work this weekend, grass mowing and trimmed the bushes out front... those things are a pain, I cut them back quite a bit, and they really should be cut back more but I don't want to kill them. I could've spent 10x longer cutting back big branches - they might be on the list for replacement sometime soon, we'll see. And, tonight is the one and only Sunday night YG bible study for the month, so I've been preparing for that. It's a hard one, Romans chapter 6... how to not trivialize it, and yet not repeating the same points over and over again.
