Work has kinda sucked the past few days... confirms for me all the more that I don't want to go into management in a big company... at least at my company. Enough said.

I've been spending too much money lately it seems. Maybe not, mostly I'm spending birthday money. I bought a hat, but I think I need to return it and get the next size smaller, or just buy another one and return this one when I go to San Diego on the 4th (bought it online). I'm paying to have my dad (or brother, not sure who technically owns it) pool table moved to my house, the renters don't want it. The deal is if I pay to move it, it becomes mine. Sounds like a good deal. Ordered some pants online, they should be here soon. Bought a new leaf blower... a good one (I hope) - at least it has good reviews. Will be my first experience with Echo, sounds like its a good brand... and it's supposed to be quiet. Oh, and i almost forgot the new lappy battery from ebay, since Dell wanted 3x as much, at roughly half the cost of the rest of the laptop. Uhhh, no thank you Dell, get real!

I suppose part of my spending spree is associated with the work on the back patio electrical situation, as noted in the previous post. I'm putting up new lights, and running nice shiny conduit, putting in real junction boxes (go figure!!) and all that too. Copper isn't cheap, and I bought another spool since I'm getting low-ish. However, I've run into one small problem... the mystery outlet. The problem is it has copper, but everything else on that circuit is aluminum... and nowhere do I find where this copper wire terminates... which means it must be spliced in the attic... but I can't figure out where this even enters the attic, and I've cut a decent number of holes here and there, crawled into the attic and didn't see it (not that I expected to), and just generally have drawn a blank. So, it's tone generator time... and hopefully we can trace it.

Oh, and i almost forgot... i decided on paint colors for my house.. going to use one of the shades from the interior paint, and I color matched the existing taupe, I think the paint I got is a little more taupe and a little less brown... which should work well. I only got a gallon so far, just so I could paint some of the bare boards I put up to light mounts. So, once I decide on a roofing company and get that job done, I'll be doing some outside painting... which I'm not really looking forward to too much... at least the concrete block isn't in any hurry to be repainted, but I hate the color it is now.
