I finally made some progress on the patio again... decided on putting up 1x8's. It works. Just had to bust out a lot of jig saw action. I put up 2.5 6 foot lengths, each about like this one. Finished it yesterday, and even got it caulked so it's ready to paint... but I want to put up the speaker wire first so I can paint it all at once. I still have one board to put up to cover the opening you can see on the far right of the above picture... but I haven't yet figured out the best way to cut one into a triangle.
