We were a bit late taking off from Phoenix, but that gave us some nice views during the sunset. Some better than this, but I didn't get the camera out in time.

Adding to the late start, this nice storm:

which we mostly flew around the south and up the east side of, but went thru a little bit of it. I grabbed this radar image after getting to Mark & Sarah's, looking at the animation the storm was pretty slow moving so imagine it was just a bit further west during the flight. After landing it took over half an hour before I got to the rental car thanks to the incredibly slow shuttle bus driver... that and my bad luck of being at the very first pickup spot. If I would've known where to go, I would've just walked... it wasn't very far away, and it wouldn't have taken any more time... and probably less. Alas. I'm here now.

And being here... it's so nice. I imagine people here might consider it a bit warm, but 86 degrees with < 40% humidity seems really really nice to this desert rat. I stopped by the sprint campus today (picture to come) to see what I could do about moving my phone number to my own account... man it's a pain... my dad and I both have to sign a form since he's the primary on the account. Hopefully we can get it all taken care of this weekend... that'd be really nice!
