It seems there is some discussion about the makeup of the Supreme Court. Some folks seem to have feelings that the Supreme Court justices should represent who we as a nation are, and therefore the members should have varied backgrounds. If you remove this need for representation, it is clear that it doesn't matter at all if the next justice to be appointed is female or male, minority or majority. I wonder, should the supreme court justices be representative of our nation, or are they in a different realm.
