We got back last week from our trip to Hawaii. It was great, and we're both ready to go back (well, we might want to wait for the burrito to come out first, air travel isn't fun for K right now). Along with us came about 1200 photos, which has prompted me to get back to working on the photo album stuff. I've decided to write it myself for the learning experience. That means its taking far too long, but, I will get there, eventually, I promise myself that.

Speaking of photos, I decided it's time for a new camera. My current point-n-shoot developed some spots that show up when taking photos at a particular angle. I've tried cleaning it, but I fear it would require taking it apart to really get it clean. While in Hawaii, I noticed Costco had a sale on the Nikon D5000, $125 off a pretty nice kit. After coming home and considering it, I decided that I should go ahead and acquire it... except, now it seems they've sold out of it. I should have bought it in Hawaii where the sales tax is next to nothing!
