2010.11.01 @ 00:46:57 What I don't write about

We get weekly emails from babycenter.com that Kristen signed up for before Adam was born. They tell you what to expect during pregnancy of what to expect from your infant that week. Most books (and other sources of information) generally break things into months instead of weeks; what's nice about these emails is they break that up into small bite size portions (very to the point - unlike most baby books). If you sensed this next word coming, I give you two points. However, there's one section of the emails that grates me. It is called "Overheard" and is always has a fun tidbit like this:

Emily laughs now! I think it's the sweetest sound I've ever heard - and it's so funny. When she laughs, I do, too, and we just sit there and crack up together.

Sorry folks, but you won't see me writing anything in that style on my blog. I mean, I'll share when things happen, like when he first rolled over or smiles or has some epic giant poop. Actually, the epic poops happen a lot so I don't really feel the need to share them so much. But you won't see me writing stuff like this person shared about their Emily. If you want that, well, sign up for the babycenter emails. As for me, every time I read the Overhead section of those emails I die a little bit.
