2003.04.24 @ 17:16:15 3 weeks?

That's right campers, only 3 weeks left from today until the end. Last day of classes is May 14th. For those of you who feel like you have enough to do to last 6, or maybe even 9 weeks, take comfort that no matter what you do, 3 weeks from now you will be done and life will be moving on.

Well I've been lookin' real hard
And I'm tryin' to find a job
But it just keeps gettin' tougher every day

After the mess of getting my computer working, staying up late to get things done for work, etc. Wednesday showed its shining face. It started with security class. I was working on my laptop, following along with stuff in class and doing some other things, and I noticed all of these extra 'cmd' and 'net' processes running on my computer. My first reaction was to start killing them, but they kept coming back. Something wasn't right. As it turned out, I had been infected with some sort of virus that cruises around the network looking for open shared drives. During out hacking exercise I had loosened the security on my laptop so that I could copy things to it from the servers we were hacking into (this was a class assignment, we were hacking computers in a specific lab). I was infected at 9:06 am, and discovered it at 9:30. I spent the rest of class half paying attention and half cleaning up the mess left behind on my laptop. I was doing ok until I got a BSOD. At that point I wanted to throw my laptop across the room and watch it shatter on the wall. A second later, I calmed myself down and realized that would be a really really bad idea.

Now I can't seem to access things on my laptop from my desktop, which isn't good. When it rains it pours.
