2003.07.13 @ 18:27:12 Just like clockwork

Is not how putting up drywall worked on Thursday. Let's just say that when 5 guys are all saying "there's got to be a better way to do this", there probably is. It was definitly a learning experience. Saturday we "finished" the job - I use that term loosely, since we basically started over. Things went *much* smoother that time. I think my brother's new kitchen will be pretty good. I'm glad I don't have to live with all the construction mess thou :).

After drywalling and "cleaning up" (aka swimming), Al & I dropped a bookcase off at Jenny's place, since I had to order a 3-pack and didn't need them all. We then proceeded to the lake where, once again the phrase "I should've brought my camera" was repeated. Next time... next time. Anyway, Jenny got up on 2 for the first time (at least, the first time that she stayed up for any considerable amount of time). I got up slalom for the first time too (I attribute part of the credit to the new prop on the boat). I haven't quite mastered the balancing act of staying up on one yet. Took one pretty nasty spill - I think the water punched me :). We stayed out until after the sun was going down. Some clouds and lightning started rolling in, as we relaxed and watched / dozed.

Al's heading back out today. Unfortuantly thou the boat's ignition was turned on all night so the battery was drained. After the fiascal of moving that bettery to his Jeep so it would charge on the way to the lake he's on his way. I'm fairly confident that there won't be any problems, but ya never know... some days, it's just like that. I was a bit tired so decided to stay behind. I have some webpages I want to work on too, so look for some new pages in the Photos section.
