If you thought the movie version of Return of the King took its sweet time in concluding, brace yourself for the book. About a third of the book is post-ring-destruction. As for my reading, I just finished Tom Clancy's Debt of Honor, and figured I'd get his next one, Executive Orders, and read that as they're his only two that directly lead into each other, from my understanding. I figured the second would be shorter than the 990 pages of the first, but boy, was I wrong. 1358 pages. It's disappointing to spend three hours reading something and realize that you're less than 10% of the way done.
