I remember seeing guys wearing 3/4 length jean shorts back in high school or around then, thuogh they weren't all that popular. They wanted the "sagging" look without actually sagging or something. Personally, I think if you want shorts, get shorts, and if you want pants, get pants; don't get some wishy-washy in-between thing. Alternately, they remind me of flood pants -- "My feet are soaked, but my cuffs are bone dry! Everything's comin' up Milhouse!" Also called high water pants, they seem to have been popular with nerds in the 1970's. Anyways, I don't really get them, but they seem to be a "fashion" thing, and I've been told I have no fashion sense.
