I'm just over an hour away, and managed to get thru the day without a single person singing me happy birthday, at least not all the whole song. A quick run down of the day's events, went to work, cleaned up my desk from it's "decorations" (which basically involved removing the confetti which was scattered around my desk). I was actually pretty thankful that my cube wasn't totally "decorated". Work was less than exciting, came home, went roller blading with Danielle, cleaned my desk at home which I'd been putting off for *far* too long, went to eat Wendy's with Jason & Al, came back, practiced some bass, now I'm writing this.
Thursday i'm going out to dinner (mmm... bamboo club), as that was the day that seemed to work the best for people. I'm trying to keep that small, most of the people I invited were people I've lived with in the past 10 years and are currently in the state of arizona. So, don't feel bad if you weren't invited. Who'd have thought that I was having trouble figuring out what to do because I didn't want to not invite everybody I knew who was around.
(singing, clapping) happy happy birthday, this is your special day
happy happy birthday, that's all i'm here to say
happy happy birthday (solo, no clapping) may all your dreams come truuuuuue
(resume clapping) happy happy birthday from a minnesotan to you
end of song
Wow, a song with clapping. That's awesome. Maybe you should record that and send me an mp3.
In a minor update, I got cake today.
Actually today was full of sweets. I had a cookie at lunch, because it sounded good and I was unaware of the things to come. Back at my desk, Mark comes over with this rather large piece of cake for me. Now that was cool. Thanks Mark! After that, we had a sending-off meeting for Meg, one of our co-workers who was moving to another team down on the 1st floor. We had some pie, and cookies. And it rained today, beforehand there was *tons* of wind. It was fun watching the planes try to land at the airport across the street. And the dust blowing all over the place. Pretty crazy. Anyway, then I went to church afterwards for dinner & lenten service. Only one more wednesday left now.
Oh, I almost forgot. I'm not officially a part-time coder part-time tester, instead of full-time tester at work. It's like a partial promotion!
