Quick rundown on today... Got up, lazied around the house for a bit until we decided to go to the lake (which I thought we decided last night, but this is my roommates we're talking about). So we go, to "test" out the boat. It was late morning by the time we got there, so it was warming up but not the hottest part of the day. The lake water is still a bit cool, so I opted to try out the $40 wetsuit (shorty) I picked up from costco. I was glad I had it, although I certainly could have survived without it. Al & I each skied once, Jason didn't want to try today... guess he was afraid the water was too cold or something. Thats ok, it wasn't ideal conditions for skiing anyway (otherwise I would've gone more). Came home, lazied around the house a bit, then went to marc & hanna's wedding reception (from the wedding on the beach last weekend). They're renting her parent's house down south of me, so quite a ways away from most anything other than the mass of housing down there. I still don't get how they get away with not putting any businesses on this side of town, and more importantly why people are willing to drive an hour to get to work. However, I digress. It was a lot of fun, I saw Pastor Mike, who I used to make powerpoint slides for, he's back in town after taking an 80 day call to Florida (he decided it wasn't where God wants him). Oh, and he's lost a *ton* of weight. I hardly recognized him, and would it not have been for his distinctive voice, would've thought it was someone I didn't know. Amazing. Anyway, it was a good time, hanging out and chatting with other folks from church mostly.

I'm starting a new paragraph since that one seems to be getting long. After coming back, I needed to get songs ready for tomorrow. With confirmation going on, we have lots of songs, and some trickier hymns that we don't do normally. So I spent a good deal of time getting the necessary songs scanned, tabulated with the notes for me (I still can't read music fast enough to keep up, even if it is just the finding the bottom most note) and re-printed so I can see them easily - hitting the right note is hard enough, without having to read it off the page. Then a quick ran through all the songs, making sure I didn't mess up my tabulation or whatever. I think I'm ready, although I could definitly use another few hours of practice, but it's closing in on midnight real fast, and I value sleep too much.

And my roommates are asleep on the couch, so lazy they can't even drag their butts to bed! Instead of sleeping here I am staring at my green (translucent) 7-up bottle from mexico, 7 years ago.

cheap souvenir? It's one of those cool glass bottles that are hard to come by in the states. I think I was supposed to leave it at the restaurant so they could take it back to be refilled and get money back or something, but I didn't know that at the time. It's sat next to my monitors for the past few years at least.
