2004.09.01 @ 23:41:50 our time is running out

I'm in a particularly bad mood tonight. I apologize in advance.

So we'll start with the good news, I'm going to meet the pool guy who has been taking care of the pool at the house I'm going to buy tomorrow morning. So I can see how things work, and maybe I'll just hire him to finish off the year.

Yesterday I got home and the house smelled kinda funny. Bailey had had an accident, particularly bad, on the carpet. Al was the first one home and had taken care of it, but the smell lingered. Then my mom came over, and we made spaghetti and I showed her the ins and outs of her new computer (as seen to the right - click for larger view). So we took the whole thing back apart and together again so she would know how to replace components if desired. That was about the extent of my day.

Today I got home from work, after working a little bit late, and decided to wash my car. Only we're out of car wash, and although I told my roommates this and they've been to wal-mart 3 times, they haven't thought to pick some up. So I used dish soap, which isn't too good for your car's finish but I didn't feel like going out to get any. The school across the street is having an open house, so there's kids running all around making noise and doing things they probably wouldn't if properly supervised. I get no offers to help me wash my car, as Al is bored and starts playing video games instead - which doesn't really bother me, I don't mind doing such things by myself. However, when I come in after finishing, there's Al & Jason sitting at the table eating sandwiches for dinner. Kinda annoyed me that they couldn't wait for me, or at least mention something to me. I make food for them all the time. But then, oh it gets better, there's none left for me either. But they don't tell me this, so I start getting things out until I notice that the lunch meat is neither in the fridge or sitting out. So I decided I kinda felt like getting out, so I went to Panda Express in the mall instead. Walked around a bit afterwards, out of boredom but I can claim it to be exercise.

I guess I'm just tired of my roommates ignoring me and pretending like I don't exist. The 24th can't come soon enough.

Here is Newegg's listing for the shuttle itself, and we added a Celeron 2.4 and 512 mb of ram, along with a hitatchi 160gb sata hard drive. Also a nice 8x DVDRW (dual layer) drive - which surprisingly was only a $2-3 more for silver, whereas the floppy was double (albient thats still only $10 extra).

HI! I actually turned on my IM screen for a minute today and found your website link. It's been a while and I had no idea what was happening in your life, but I see that you are buying a house! Giant Congratulations! Where’s it located? Will you post pictures? You are such a grown up.

Howdy! I hear you're in north carolina? drop me a line next time you're on im. I have some pictures, however I took these in the process of considering the house, so the first few are pictures of the neighboring houses (from the front lawn), and on the 2nd page you'll see some like the shower with a crack and other things I wanted to remember that I would need to fix :). I'll try to get some better pictures once I actually move in - but good enough for now. Location, well, for people who know phoenix a bit, here's a map, as you can see its right at the 60/101 interchange. But no, the noise from the highway isn't a problem, the neighbor's a/c is nearly as loud as the freeway noise, and in the back yard you can't even tell. I'm excited, can't wait to move in, already have a long list of things to buy and things to do.

I don't wanna grow up, I'm a toys R us kid...

Freeway Interchanges
David says:

As matt pointed out to me last night, I have this tendancy to live near freeways, and in particular freewy interchanges. Lets see.. of all the places I've lived in Arizona, not counting the dorms at ASU, the farthest I've been from a highway is half a mile (raw distance, not driving distance). And, the last 2 apartments have been right at interchanges - first the 101/202, then the 60/10, and now 60/101. Hrm...
