2004.12.21 @ 00:36:15 When the cat's away...

It seems every time I look at my journal I have so much to say, and yet I'm good at putting off updating. But this time I have worked up the motivation to type some. So here goes. Last Wednesday Jenny and her sis came over with their cats, because I agreed to cat sit while they're in Germany (until I leave, when another friend will take over). I figured it would be easier to watch them at my house than to stop by their place every day. So far they've really been pretty good. The only problem I've had was when one of them (I suspect it was Five) decided to climb into the christmas tree, and he knocked one of the pretty purple ornament balls off. I know he's been in the tree at least a few times, so from now on they're locked in my bedroom while I'm not home.

The only other incident worth speaking of happened tonight, I was just finishing a conversation on the phone when Neuro started climbing behind the mini-blinds to my back door, and just after I hung up the phone and told him to get out he caught one of his back foot on some of the strings, high enough up that he was pretty much hanging by them. After investigating it for a minute I decided to heck with it, and grabbed some scissors. The blinds were broken anyway, they've been on my list of "to replace when I get money" so no harm done. I think I could've gotten him untangled had I tried.

In un-catlike news, saturday I really didn't feel like doing anything, and I was tired anyway, so I went to watch Greer's basketball game, and stayed for the next 3 games after that. It was good times, and Bryan was there to announce the varsity games so we ran out to grab lunch together. Sat night I went up to my brother's house to get a quick haircut (it doesn't take long), and we had dinner and talked about various things. I inspected his pool pump, as mine is still causing some grief - I've found a leak and I've decided to spend the money to get it working right.

*Sigh* those silly kitties... we'll replace the ornament. I forgot to tell you that Neuro is monkey-like and tends to climb things... he must have gotten into those dancing monkey suit prototypes or something. Glad they're not getting into too much trouble otherwise. We sure do miss them, but we are glad that they have another human to live with for the time being : ) Thanks again.
