My Journal is now available in RSS form, just point your RSS aggregator to http://david.thetyphoon.net/journal/journal_rss.jsp. The RSS feed will provide the latest 10 entries. I'm new to RSS, but it seems pretty handy. If you use Mozilla / Thunderbird, RSS support is built in so you could read any RSS feed just like an email. If you don't know what RSS is, and you care, I would look at the first few links from a Google Search. I still need to modify the RSS feed to provide fully qualified URLs for links and images that I reference, but that's not too big a deal I don't think.

Also, as noted by the comments on other entries, there are some pictures slowly appearing on the Photos page from my recent trip(s). I won't post an entry when I get them all done, but you can see the progress if you like by checking there.

I have now sat through the exact same presentation on RSS feeds at work in three different meetings. All of these were required meetings, but each had a slightly different group of people. Fair to say most of us have heard it at least twice by now. The funny thing, I was already using RSS feeds through livejournal for a year. This is the one technology thing I figured out on my own, even close to being an "early adapter" and work insists on continuously training me on it. Compared to my friends from school (you, tim, jenny, etc) I'm a techno-know-nothing, but compared to many of my coworkers, I'm some sort of techno-goddess. Funny how that works out.

I'm not as helpless as you think. I'm doing better here in Kansas without you and Tim to lean on, I just do it on my own now. But yes, having me as the techno savvy one at work is sometimes scarry.

Actually, RSS isn't built in to Thunderbird. It's an extension you can download called "ForumZilla."

Nope, its actally built right in. The extension is only needed if you want it to dump the entries into an email box. See here.
