So my flight back to Phoenix is delayed ~1.5 hours. After checking the email and chattin some, I decide to walk the terminal. Those who have been to KCI know what I mean... the terminals are a long almost complete circle (sorta like a C, but even more complete than that). So you can literally walk from one end to the other and see the whole thing. I walked all the way to the end (I'm already at one end), and decided for my way back to walk outside to get some fresh air. After stepping outside, i realized that I'm at the airport. What's at the airport? A bunch of airplanes... and a bunch of buses... and a bunch of cars... and a few people smoking... so I go back inside at the next door realizing the inside air is cleaner and probably "fresher" than the outside air. I tried.
So I have an hour still... Mark's wedding... that's why I was here in Kansas. I was a groomsman. My job was to stand on the step during the wedding, and drive Mark's car back to his apt. afterwards. Oh, and to escort the lovely bridesmaid Kyla down the aisle and make sure she doesn't trip. It was a success on all fronts. Quite a nice wedding, much like how I hope mine to be. Not too big, not too small, not too simple, not to plain. The reception was just right too. The trip also gave me a chance to see Beth, my dad, and my grandparents... as well as random folks from my old church. And trees... wow how they've grown! I hardly recognized the trees in my neighborhood!
at least you're not traveling by train... which in germany right now is about as much fun as, oh, swimming the atlantic to get to london... yay train strikes, yay.
