This entry is late, but, life has been busy. This entry starts last a week ago Sunday, October 19th on my way to church. I take off in my car, and close the garage as normal. Little Did I know, it didn't close all the way... got stuck nearly all the way down. Arriving back home, I found it stuck, and it wouldn't go up or down properly. Upon further inspection, here's what I found:

broken

not broken

I'm just very happy my car was on the outside, so I didn't have to take everything apart to get the car out.

The next day I got the call at work that my grandma had passed away. It wasn't particularly a surprise, we had been preparing for it to happen soon, and I'm glad she's at home with the Lord. I got *super* lucky, and found a fellow on craigslist selling his southwest frequent flyer ticket, and saved a little more than half the cost of what I would have had to pay to fly home. When I first saw the normal prices, I considered driving. As it turned out, I was just a little inconvenienced by the flight times... but it worked out just fine. Two interesting things in the next picture, taken at KCI airport upon my arrival while waiting for my dad to pick me. First, how many airports do you know that have marked Tornado Shelters? And second, the starbucks where I bought my very first starbucks coffee that I paid actual money for:

And last, but not least, in memory of my awesome grandma Diepenbrock! There's lots of stories I could tell, but quite honestly I'm not that great of a storyteller. So, I'll leave it to the photo:
