I talked about this before, and you saw the broken lever arms... The day finally came, several weeks ago, for the new door to be put on. I saved a few photos for your garage door enjoyment! (ok, that really was supposed to be a little funny). First, we see the garage with a big giant opening. Thankfully M. came and helped me take the old door down. It was kinda scary, and kinda fun. We managed to stay far enough away from the giant scary springs to not be injured. First we see the garage without any door.
I really can't take any credit, since I just stood and watched the new door go up... but perhaps i learned a few things through osmosis. Mainly I learned that it's well worth paying someone else to do the work, it really is a giant puzzle and I'm sure it would've taken me at least 4 times longer to get it done... twice as long just because you have to stop and read the directions, and this dude just went to town. Oh, I think I'm going to paint it the match the trim on the house, just haven't gotten around to that yet!
