La Mirada County Regional Park is within seconds of our new place. I thought it high time to share some views of the park. The park comes complete with a small lake stocked with fish, and birds. It's hard to find a time when there aren't parents with small kids tossing bread to feed the wildlife.
The park is home to a world-famous disc golf course, established back in 1976. Word on the street is it was the first public course (although I haven't been able to verify that claim).
Fall color, even in LA. This is about as good as it gets here.
The park is pretty expansive, 36 "holes" on the disc course, lake in the middle, tennis and handball courts in the middle.
I refer to this as the 'court of the palm trees'.
There is a wide variety of tree types in the park. Just about everything grows in this climate!
