For a long time after Adam took his first successful steps he really lost interest in walking, generally preferring to just crawl to his destination and then pull back up. Now he has mastered the art of falling on his behind or catching himself with his arms. One big problem is teaching him not to walk while holding toys in his mouth -- which is how he transported toys while crawling -- since if he falls forward it can jam the toy into the mouth and hurt quite a bit. He's done this a few times, but he hasn't quite figured out what not to do yet! Soon.

Wow! lots of progress. I've heard that shoes can help babies to walk easier. I've noticed he's usually in stocking feet. I can't wait to see him Memorial Day weekend!

Best is bare feet when inside, so they can feel the floor and adjust accordingly. Shoes make that really difficult, and is best to only have them wear shoes when outside. It's been cooler the past week so we were mostly wearing the full length onesies.
