This has been a pretty eventful weekend. Friday night I watched 'Finding Nemo' with Al, Danielle & Monica. It was very good, and had lots of bass - and we had it turned up pretty loud, even with our sound system it was pushing the limits.

Saturday I woke up early, at least for a Sat. I cleaned my bathroom, which was needing a thorough cleaning job, and I cleaned and organized my room. Then, I took on the bushes in the back yard. We have 4 small palm trees, which had lots of branches reaching the ground, so I turned them from bushes into trees by cutting off those, and removing all the dead branches. In the process, I discovered another small palm tree sprouting out of each of the groups of two. The process took the rest of the morning, and filled most of the trash can. I was pretty lazy the rest of the day, helped Al install his mp3 player in the new car, and listened to the KSU vs. Nebraska game via Yahoo Radio.

Today I went to church, and decided to visit Fry's and AZ Mills afterwards. I found some cheap shorts for working out (one pair for $1.97!), and bought a fleece from old navy. I walked around the mall, passing time and looking for potential Christmas gifts. Afterwards, I met up with Jenny to go to Tim's chior concert. It was very enjoyable, with a number of fairly interesting pieces. My favorite from the night was 'Laudate Dominum' by Mark Wilberg.

Afterwards, I stopped by CompUSA. I've been trying to locate a PCI digital TV tuner card. Neither Best Buy, nor CompUSA, nor Circuit City, nor Fry's had one. So, once home I decided to go ahead and order it online. Since I was ordering, I went ahead and bought the needed components to upgrade my computer since my desktop keeps crashing on me. I decided I wanted to stick with a dual cpu system, so I went with a dual Xeon board from Tyan. I probably spent too much money, but it gives me a decent upgrade path and should last me a while.
