I meant to post this last night, but I forgot. So, when I'm in my bathroom I can hear things from outside pretty easily, especially the announcements/bells at the school across the street from their outside loudspeaker. I was a little late getting to work that day, and I heard their morning announcements. I don't know exactly how this pertained to their announcments, but I distinctly heard the following:
"Did you know there really isn't such a thing as bad weather? Just different kinds of good weather!"I'm thinking to myself at this point, "I hope this really isn't what they teach all arizonans." It pisses me off how everything in public schools these days has to be happy. Life isn't always happy. Weather certainly isn't always good, clearly whoever said this has no concept of a real midwest thunderstorm, that could not be called good. Or tornados, hurricanes, I don't know how you can really call those good. Seriously, you're just setting these poor kids up for disappointment. And then I think of my friends in not-so-arizona-like climates, where its -60 wind chill. Mother nature isn't always your happy best friend.
