Ah, to be home. A nice feeling, but sometimes a sad one too. Anyway, I'm back from St. Louis, and another of my friends is now married. The wedding was great, and I will hopefully have a few pictures worthy of being posted of that. There was some lighting issues, in that there was much sunlight coming in, and as such photos were difficult. It was fun to see Bethany and Addie, and to meet some new folks too. But first, let's backtrack a bit.

Matt, Mark and myself were set to fly out of Phoenix Friday afternoon, through Dallas (Where the TrAAm was broken - I think it's been down 50% of the times I've been to Dallas - go figure), and finally landing in St. Louis around 10:35. It was fun to hear stories from Matt about his job, working as a screener for airport security. Anyway, we arrived at the very very very last gate in St. Louis. We began the trek to the main concourse of the airport wondering why we didn't pull into a closer gate, as they all sat empty. Thus, our walk was lengthy, and consumed much time. All in all, it was shortly after 11pm before we made it out to the curb to await a shuttle for our rental car. We found the appropriate spot to wait, and waited for a few minutes as we watched the shuttles for the other rental car companies coming and going. After a few minutes we attempted to call the local number we had for Enterprise, which forwarded us to their national number. Not finding an appropriate menu option, we bailed on that. A few minutes after that, we inquired with one of the drivers of another shuttle, who informed us he thought Enterprise ran their shuttle until midnight, while they were 24/7. After some more patient waiting, Mark called and spoke to someone at Enterprise who informed him their St. Louis office cloesd at 11pm. It's now about 11:30, so we begin asking the other drivers if they have vehicles available. National had an SUV for $60/day, which we turned down. Hertz informed us they were by reservation only, and to try Alamo - who's bus pulled away just as Matt was walking up to them. A few minutes later, the Hertz guy came to our resque and informed us they had vehicles available for a reasonable $23/day - $6 more than our Enterprise reservation. So much for Enterprise and their famous tagline, "We'll pick you up."

Other than the rental car, the rest of the trip went very smoothly. One of Addie's bridesmaid's friend's (not boyfriend) stayed with us the first night, and hung out with Saturday before the wedding along with Kelly, another of Addie's friends. We did the Arch thing, as none of them had been up it before. It was nice and windy, so the arch was swaying a little. I think they all seemed to enjoy it, or at least glad to have had the experience. I got some good pictures that day I think, but now I'm ready for a nap, will unpack, look at photos later, and edit all my spelling mistakes for this entry later.
