This past sunday after church, I was hungry. I decided Burger King sounded good, given my short amount of time available to eat. So I stop by the BK right next to church, and walk in. Some people were standing up front, as if they're ordering, after I stand there for a minute and nothing happens I decide to use the restroom before ordering. I come out, and these same people are rounding up their kids to leave. Weird. Another person is currently ordering, so I wait for them to finish, then I walk up to the register. The guy just looks at me, doesn't say a word, so I assume he's waiting for me to start. I say I want 2 cheeseburgers and a 5 piece, but before I can finish he turns around and walks the other way. I'm thinking, ok, what is going on. Then it all makes sense. He asks the people in the back if they have haumburgers. This is *Burger* King, right? As it turns out, they only have chicken, and whoppers, no "regular" patties. I say ok, and leave. I mean, you can't operate a burger king and not have regular hamburgers, it's just not right. So, I decide that I'm still hungry for BK, to I drive to the one near Southern & Mill, and upon entering I'm actually greeted by someone, and not only do they have burgers, but their prices are between $.10 and $1 cheaper than the other location, depending on the item. Needless to say, I was happy that I left and didn't settle for chicken.
Tonight was bible study, which I lead and went very well. There were kids playing basketball, in the gym next door so had to tune them out, but before and after I watched them play for a bit. It was much fun, for some reason I really enjoyed watching them play. Brought back lots of memories from when I was in 7th/8th grade playing ball, and how much fun that was. Oh well, nostalgia is only good for so long.
