Today has been another fun "stuck in the lab" day at work. This is the only place where you'll find me wearing jeans, shirt, and my long-sleeve fleece in the middle of summer in phoenix. Ironic considering the power crisis we are having, thanks to wildfires and non-wild fires affecting the power supply to the valley, and the increased summer demand. So far, no rolling blackouts. Definitly need to get Typhoon onto a UPS again.

The plane trip home was nice, except for the crying baby, but loud music pretty much took care of that. I had an empty seat next to me so I could somewhat stretch my legs which was very nice. There wasn't a movie, so it was music the whole way, which gave me lots of time to think and reflect. One of the more enjoyable things about the "weekend" was just being around a family again, and having people around to hang out with. I guess I've been rather lonely lately, and am already noticing that again now that I'm back. Thinking about buying a house and living by myself in some ways scares me, but maybe I won't feel as alone if I am alone. If that makes any sense.
