Two weekends back I was out shopping and decided it was past due that I have new running shoes. My old running shoes sprung a leak, and were no longer suitable for their intended purpose. Tonight I finally put the new ones to use. I find it amazing how the fit of brand new running shoes just makes you want to move forward. Its as if they're whispering tomy feet "let's get going, I've been waiting for this my whole life!". I think I should start a running log, or perhaps more genericly an exercise log. And chances are the only way I'd use it is if I built it as a web based dealio. Hrm... that could make a nice project.

In completely unrelated news, my Christmas/New Years plans are this: stay in/around Phoenix until Dec. 29th. Fly to Kansas City, fly back to Phoenix on Jan 4th. My parents & maternal grandparents are coming to Phoenix / Payson for the week before Christmas, and I'll be flying to KS with my Dad on his return trip.

Since family will be here for Christmas I decided I should get a Christmas tree. When I was at Home Depot this past weekend I looked at their selection, and picked out a fake tree but neglected to buy it. Partially because I hadn't fully decided to spend the money at that point, and partially because they were about to close the store. Now they're sold out of that one, and I really don't like any of the others. I may try stopping by the store out by work tomorrow, but I'm rather bummed. I also need to pickup another "bed in a bag" for the new mattress I bought this past weekend (which is *really* comfy, btw). I stopped by several stores, but didn't find any that I liked. Actually I did find some I liked, bt they were all King size. Perhaps they're trying to tell me I should've got a King instead of a Queen, but alas too late now. I may have to order one since most places have a bigger selection online.
