Mondays are always a bit different than the rest of the week. Unfortunatly this monday was accompanied with some bad news - a friend from work lost both of her parents in a car wreck over the weekend. Hearing bad news like this really gives you cause to ponder some things. I think the conclusion I have come to is that we need to live life like we're down by 1 in the 4th quarter with 30 seconds on the clock. What I mean by that is we need to make sure to pay attention to the little things. You can't make dumb mistakes at that point in a game, its the fundamentals that become key. With 30 seconds left life isn't hectic, instead its focused. You get fouled, and the game stops for a moment while things are taken care of. Free throws win games, afterall. You get the ball back, and you make sure all the passes are good passes, and you only take the good shots. So too should be our lives, not throwing our time away on things of no importance, but instead stay focused on what is important, and always follow through. And when things go wrong, stop for a moment - stop everything else - to make them right.
