Once a summer, or thereabouts, the air conditioning in the sanctuary at church seems to mysteriously quit working. This almost always happens such that it cannot be repaired prior to sunday morning church services. This weekend would be one of those times.
So, on top of my extensive around-the-house todo list, "social" functions (birthday party, bible study group), there was added assisting with moving the sound system over to the gym, as we typically do for easter and christmas. We learned a few things from last time, primarly that we need to extensively EQ the monitors to avoid feedback and standing waves. So this time we brought over the EQ to do this, and spent a good amount of time adjusting it such that hopefully we won't sound quite so much like we're in a big square room.
Despite this unforseen unfortunate situation which demanded a good part of my time today, I still managed to get some time in the sun while trimming the hedge in the back yard. I'm a bit over halfway done with that job, although if I really wanted to do a good job I could spend probably another 8 hours cutting all the dead branches out and things like that, unlikely to happen given all the other tasks. I spent a little bit of time working on the bathroom, I now have a method for removing the tile which seems to work pretty well - even if it involves doing exactly what the websites I found say not to do. Obviously they've never tried to remove my tile. This involved a trip to home depot, which is always fun. I also cleaned the leather in my car, which was in dire need of cleaning, and I cleaned up all the dishes in the kitchen. Not bad for a day's work.
Now that I've determined that the above entry is probably pretty difficult to read, I've decided that I'm definitly too tired to fix it. Maybe I'll proof it tomorrow. That's a very unlikely maybe.
