I believe I left off with Tuesday on my Kansas update, so here goes with the rest of it:
- Wednesady: Lazied around the house, took care of several misc. items. Evening I went to Hope's Young Adult group, saw a couple people I knew and met several new folks. Aftewards went to see Mark's appartment and we talked for a bit.
- Thursday: Drove to Topeka to see the Grandparents. We went to lunch, I had some awesome chicken-fried chicken. Mmmm. I helped fix up a few things on the 'puter, and then we put up a ceiling fan in the office/sewing room (that brings my 2 year count up to 9 fans). Anna & Fred showed up with Ayden, we had dinner soon after that. After some visiting it was back to Kansas City. Beth & I had planned a place to go hang out that night, but it turned out they were closed. We tried another place, which was very dead, so we only stayed for a few minutes. Alas, we tried.
- Friday went to lunch with Beth, and watched V for Vendetta that afternoon. That evening Michael came in from Lawrence, and Mark stopped by, we had pizza and watched Anchorman and some other HBO specials. It was good to see both of them, the three of us hadn't been together for over a year.
- Saturday involved some sleeping in. Once up and around went to see Nate. He's working on his Kitchen, which helped give me some motivation for the bathroom. After visiting for a bit, I returned home to finish up helping my dad with his computer project of recording all of our home videos to DVD.
- Sunday I skipped church (bad me). I packed things up and left KC, destined first for Topeka. I arrived just before my Aunt, Uncle, and Sarah (who stayed the night there after going to the KSU game) returned from church. Went to lunch with them and the grand'rents, came back and relaxed for a bit. Talked remodeling, showed some pictures, etc. Early afternoon I departed for Tulsa to visit the last of the family for this trip, Josh. He recently moved, so I got to see his new pad. We did dinner at olive garden, and spent some time visiting, and some time just sittin each of us on our laptops.
- Monday morning I departed Tulsa and headed west. Listened to several talk show specials on 9/11. Almost unreal that it's been 5 years already. I got a call from Tim that my domain had expired (see the previous post). So I found some free wifi in Texas at a travel center, and stopped to renew the domain without even leaving my car! I avoided doing any damage to the car on the way back, just a chip in the windshield that I've already had repaired. I did take a different roue thru New Mexico again, and got some pretty good pictures. I'll get those posted soon.
