2006.10.08 @ 02:23:06 what day is it?

if there relly is such a thing as an 'internal clock', and it is possible to mess it up, i think i've done a bang up job of messing mine up in the last few days... or really all week. my saga begins last sunday.

i wake up at about 2am, and realize that i didn't make it out of the living room. i also realize that i'm cold, as the fan is running and i have no blankets. things don't feel so good, so i intake some vitamin c. when i re-awaken at a more reasonable 730, mr. throat is not feeling so good, and so it begins. after i got up and around, take some more vitamin c, and a nice long shower things are feeling ok so i go to church etc, and proceed to trim the last tree in the front yard and mow the back yard.

monday i wake up and things are worse. after getting up and around, eating breakfast and of course more vitamin c, and noticing little improvement, i decide to call it a day and call in sick. the rest of the day is spent watching movies, sleeping more, and eating my famous "i'm sick food" - pepé cooked in chicken broth with parmesian cheese, both at 11ish for lunch, and 3ish for a "snack". by 5ish i'm feeling pretty good. i meet up with al since he's in town, we talk about the bathroom project and get some yc's.

tuesday, wednesday, i'm feeling well enough to work, do the normal 8 hour days.

thursday the fun really begins. we have our last known-scheduled lab time friday am for this build we're working on. i stay until 2000 working on things thursday working on several things for it, putting in 11 hours total. friday morning i wake up at 330 and can't get back to sleep. mr. internet connection is down, so i putz around for a bit trying to figure that one out, and finally realize it's scheduled maintenance. by 4, i'm still not tired so i get up and go in to work, arriving around 445. we were supposed to have lab time from 6-10, but as it turns out we got pushed out. after scrambling some, we acquire time from 10-14 instead. this turns into 10-15. so it's 1545 by the time i wrap things up and head home. another 11 hour day.

i get home and am really tired, not having slept much the night before. i attempt to set my alarm in time to go to worship band practice at church, but manage to mess that up, or sleep thru it - i'm not sure which. so i wake up around 7 just in time for practice to be over. after some contemplation, i decide i should get up so that i can go back to sleep at night. i try to sleep at 11, but i'm not very successful. eventually i find the floor, and this for some reason works wonders. alarm wakes me up at 545, and i slowly make my way back to work again... yes, working on a saturday. we have lab time from 6 to 14 (i arrived at 7, once the lab was up and going). 1400 turns into 1430, and it's 1500 before i leave. feeling i've earned it, i stop by haji baba's for some food, not having eaten since breakfast. after eating, i begin watching a movie and fall asleep.

the doorbell wakes me up. it's already after 1900. 1900? yes, that's when our life circle (aka bible study) group was going to meet for movie watching. luckily the entire group doesn't arrive until 1930 - 2000, and zach, the first arriver, doesn't mind my cleaning things up while we chat.

this brings me to now, nearly 2330 saturday night. tomorrow is a full day, with church events from the typical 930, lunch, then bible study, typically wrapping things up around 1430. then picking tim up at the airport in the evening. of course, having slept for 3 hours this afternoon, and my body being thoroughly confused, i'm not so tired, yet i'm exhausted at the same time. i think, in an effort to get things back on track, i'll try to go to sleep and hope that exhausted wins.
